2022 Chevy Blazer: Trim Levels

The Chevy Blazer, which hit the market as a stylish crossover in 2019, has come into its own in 2022. In its fourth model year, this mid-size, Camaro-inspired SUV retains the classic muscular design and sculpted bodywork of its older siblings. Similarly, it handles Lewisville’s suburban routes easily. It also has a decent fuel economy of 24 mpg, which can help you weather the fuel crisis easily.

Still, this SUV is much more than a replica of its predecessors. The new model year comes with wide-ranging updates and changes across the trim lineup. Our auto experts at Huffines Chevrolet Lewisville explore the four Chevrolet Blazer trims and specs below.

Chevrolet has dropped the standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and the L and 1LT trims for the 2022 Chevy Blazer. Now, the trim members are the 2LT, 3LT, RS, and the Premier. Standard features for these trims include a 2L Turbo 4-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive. Its rides are smoother than ever, inspiring price tag changes across all trims.

2022 Chevy Blazer 2LT

The 2LT is the base trim for the 2022 Chevy Blazer with an MSRP of $34,795. Its exterior accents include body-color mirror caps that match the exterior paint job. At the same time, the 18-inch bright silver aluminum wheels with 18-inch all-season blackwall tires hoist the vehicle to its 67-inch height. The trim’s lights feature high-intensity auto-on/off discharge headlights that enhance visibility while you’re driving at night in Lewisville. The vehicle also has a manual liftgate that allows you to access the rear storage effortlessly.

The dashboard’s gray-scale accents and plastic paneling give the cabin a sophisticated feel. It is appointed with premium cloth seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, and six-way adjustable passenger seats. Dual-zone automatic climate control with rear air vents ensures proper air circulation within the SUV.

The 2022 Chevy Blazer 2LT runs on a 2-liter turbo I-4 engine that generates 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Its standard transmission is a nine-speed automatic. This trim can tow up to 3,500 pounds when equipped with this powertrain. If it is in an all-wheel-drive configuration, you can use Hitch Guidance for better efficiency when towing another vehicle. We can report that the vehicle’s fuel efficiency rating is impressive: It gets 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

2022 Chevy Blazer 3LT

The starting MSRP for the 3LT is $38,995. The vehicle sits on 18-inch Bright Silver wheels with 18-inch all-season blackwall tires. It has black roof rails for securing luggage on the roof. It has heated, auto-dimming outside mirrors with integrated turn signals to reduce glare from the following traffic on your nighttime drive. There is also a height-adjustable programmable liftgate for loading your Chevy easily.

A panoramic roof with a retractable sunshade adds a touch of elegance and practicality. This component can help cool the cabin while driving around Lewisville. The seats have standard cloth upholstery, though you can upgrade to leather trim. Front passenger seats have a six-way power seating with lumbar support for extra comfort. As you drive, you can monitor crucial vehicle functions, such as the tire pressure, on the colored Driver Information Center with a 4.2-inch display.

The Chevy Blazer 3LT uses a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that generates 308 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. This SUV boasts a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 pounds and fuel ratings of 22 mpg in the city and 27 mpg highway. Besides these offerings, you can choose between an all-wheel drive or a front-wheel-drive drivetrain.

2022 Chevy Blazer RS

The RS is the sportiest trim in the Chevy Blazer lineup and has an MSRP of $42,495. Its exterior features black accents and a front grille. It sits on 20-inch Dark Android wheels with 20-inch all-season blackwall tires. These tires can help you conquer any weather due to their incredible traction. The SUV’s hands-free liftgate will help you easily load or unload your groceries.

The interior is black and punctuated with red accents to elegantly blend two contrasting colors. The Chevy Blazer RS also has ambient interior lighting for better visibility for the occupants. Its seats are made of perforated leather, while the driver’s seat has lumbar support for comfort. An 8-inch driver information display projects the vehicle’s system settings and alerts as you drive to your destination.

Like the 3LT, this trim also runs on a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with identical power output. Other engine features like the 155-amp alternator and the 3.49 axle ratio improve the SUV’s athletic performance. The fuel efficiency ratings for the Chevy Blazer RS are 19 mpg in traffic and 27 mpg on the open road.

2022 Chevy Blazer Premier

The 2022 Chevy Blazer Premier has an MSRP of $41,100. Its stylish body-colored chrome accents and silver roof rails amplify the exterior elegance. The range-topping trim comes with a chrome Premier signature grille, different from the standard Blazer grille available on other trims. The Premier has all-season blackwall tires and two-wheel options: the 20-inch Dark Android wheels and 20-inch Medium Android wheels.

Its seats use perforated leather upholstery with suede microfiber accents, giving the cabin a luxurious feel. The front and rear seats have a cooling option, and the ambient interior lighting is another nicety. An 8-inch color touch screen controls the car’s infotainment system, while Apple Carplay and Android Auto are the main connectivity apps on board.

The Premier’s engine is the same as the 3LT’s and RS’. That said, you may opt for the standard 2-liter turbo four-cylinder engine option if you want better fuel efficiency. Either powertrain is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
