The interior of this sports car is well built and comfortable, with plenty of support for front-seat passengers. There are also two rear seats, although these are best left for kids or storage purposes due to their small size. The standard setup includes cloth upholstery, but more upscale leather finishes are available as you move up through the trim ladder.

The Camaro is available either as a coupe or convertible, and your choice has some impact on how the interior feels. The coupe offers slightly more cargo space in the trunk, with slightly over 9 cubic feet at the rear, compared with the convertible’s 7.3 cubic feet. Your choice may come down to practical considerations or your desire to have an open-top convertible so you can feel the fresh air when you hit the accelerator.

Camaro Infotainment and Driver Assistance Tech

The infotainment system in the Camaro consists of a 7-inch touch screen and a six-speaker stereo. In addition, you benefit from a Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, and smartphone compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also choose from a wide range of optional upgrades. For example, you may consider the 8-inch touch screen, a premium seven-speaker or nine-speaker stereo, or a navigation system. You can also have wireless device charging or an 8-inch digital gauge cluster.

The Camaro has limited standard driver safety features, but you can add several optional extras. Standard features include a rearview camera and Teen Driver, which allows you to put speed limits and other restrictions on how other drivers can use the car. You can add forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. You can also add a head-up display to monitor your car’s performance without taking your eyes off the road.

The optional rear parking sensors will help you maneuver your Camaro in parking lots. Finally, the rearview mirror camera streams a view from the back of your sports car so you can see if any obstacles are approaching.

Chevrolet Camaro Engine and Performance

It wouldn’t be a true muscle car without a strong selection of engines, and the Camaro doesn’t disappoint. The base engine is a turbocharged four-cylinder unit capable of putting out 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The first optional upgrade is a 3.6-liter V-6 that cranks out 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque.

To get the most power out of your Camaro, choose one of the two big V-8s on offer. The first is a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter with 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque. The supercharged version of this engine achieves an incredible 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. It’s part of the ZL1 trim that’s kitted out for the racetrack.

With the four-cylinder engine, the Camaro can go from zero to 60 mph in around 5.5 seconds. If you opt for the supercharged V-8 under the hood, you can achieve this in as little as 3.5 seconds. The base engine is good for 30 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg on city roads, which is a strong fuel economy for a sports car. Even the V-8 achieves 16 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

Trims and Pricing for the Chevrolet Camaro

The Camaro lineup has eight trims to choose from: 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. The base 1LS trim is only available in a coupe design, while you can get all other trims as a coupe or convertible. Starting prices range from $26,400 for the 1LS to $67,300 for the ZL1. You may find more competitive prices by checking out our Chevy incentives.

To add a touch more luxury to the cabin, consider stepping up to the 2LT trim to get heated and ventilated front seats and automatic climate control. The 3LT gains a larger infotainment display, a premium stereo, and a heated steering wheel. It also has a head-up display and ambient interior lighting. The LT1 has a similar feel inside to the 3LT but gains the V-8 engine, a performance suspension, and Brembo brakes.

The 1SS benefits from improved engine and transmission cooling to ensure top performance. It also features summer tires and satellite radio. The final trim is the ZL1, which boasts the supercharged V-8 engine. You’ll also have launch control, an electronic limited-slip differential, magnetic ride control, and front sport seats. The driver benefits from a suede-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

In addition to the trims, you can choose from various appearance packages to get your preferred look. For example, you can add a black interior package to get dark door handles and accents and suede knee pads. The Camaro Logo package adds the logo to your fender and premium floor mats to the interior. Another option is to choose between red or black accents for the exterior design. The Red Line Edition adds black wheels with red accents, a Red Line Edition logo, and red seatbelts and knee pads.
