2024 Chevy Trailblazer: Technology, Interior, and MPG

Chevy’s subcompact Trailblazer is a great option if you want the advantages of a crossover body style at an affordable price. For 2024, Chevy has refreshed its popular small SUV inside and out, giving it new infotainment technology and an eye-catching look. With its selection of trim levels, you’ll find a Trailblazer for all occasions, including one for your daily commute or a more upscale cabin for longer drives. Let’s look at some of the Trailblazer’s most important features for 2024. Feel free to contact us to get the purchase process started.

2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer Overview

The 2024 Trailblazer is a two-row crossover in the subcompact SUV class. This new vehicle has spacious seating for up to five passengers and a cargo area at the rear, providing plenty of space for a load of groceries or a few suitcases.

You’ll have 40.9 inches of legroom in the front and 39 inches in the rear to get into the numbers. Behind the second row, you’ll have about 25 cubic feet of storage. If you need to carry bulkier items, you can fold down the rear row to open up 54.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity.

There are two engine options for you to consider throughout the trim lineup: three-cylinder units. The first is a 1.2-liter engine that puts out 137 horsepower. If you’d prefer a little more power for the highway, the larger 1.3-liter engine can generate 155 horsepower. Fuel economy is one of the Trailblazer’s many strong points. With the larger engine and front-wheel drive, you can achieve 33 mpg on the highway and 29 mpg on city roads. Keep in mind that the Trailblazer is not equipped for towing.

The features inside the cabin vary depending on the trim you choose. The Trailblazer is sold in four trims: LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS. The base trim is ideal if you’re a budget-conscious shopper, while the higher trims let you add some upscale features without breaking the bank. Prices range from approximately $25,000 in the base trim to around $29,000 for the range-topping option. Here’s a breakdown of some of the main features in each trim.

Trailblazer LS

The Trailblazer LS has an MSRP of around $25,000, and a 1.2-liter engine powers it. Inside the cabin, it has cloth upholstery and manually adjustable front seats. Thanks to the 2024 redesign, the base LS has a massive 11-inch touchscreen to control your infotainment choices. You can monitor your vehicle’s performance with the 8-inch digital gauge cluster.

You can connect your smartphone with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, you get Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition, so you can control your infotainment options without taking your eyes off the road.

Chevy equips all Trailblazers with an extensive array of safety features. These include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and lane-keep assist with lane departure warning. You also get Teen Driver, a safety feature that allows you to restrict how your crossover is used by secondary drivers to help them learn to drive safely.

Trailblazer LT

A 1.2-liter engine powers the Chevrolet Trailblazer LT. You can rely on remote keyless entry for easier access to your crossover. Remote start is another helpful feature, especially if you want to cool your Trailblazer down on hot summer days before climbing into the cabin. This trim features heated external mirrors to ensure top visibility in all weather conditions. The tinted rear glass gives you and your passengers some added privacy, and the silver-painted roof rails offer an additional option when carrying cargo.

Trailblazer RS

The RS features a larger 1.3-liter engine, making it a great choice for faster acceleration. The cabin also has a more upscale feel. It features a flat-bottomed heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and red accents. The RS rides on 19-inch black wheels, which stand out compared to the standard 17-inch aluminum wheels in the lower trims. Other features create a sporty feel, including dual tops for the exhaust and unique RS badging.

Trailblazer ACTIV

The ACTIV is well worth considering if you like a bit of adventure and plan on taking your crossover beyond tarmac surfaces. Chevy equips this trim with skid plates and off-road suspension. You can opt for a contrasting roof color for a two-tone look, also available in the RS trim. Inside the cabin, you get synthetic leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The ACTIV resorts to 17-inch wheels, adding a black mesh grill and roof rails.
