July Jubilee is a Fourth of July event in Little Elm that you won’t want to miss. The city of Little Elm puts on two spectacular shows on July 4th. One takes place at Little Elm High School, and the other occurs on Little Elm Beach. If you’re looking to take the whole day to celebrate the holiday, you can begin the festivities early at Little Elm Park at 8 a.m. to enjoy everything that the park has to offer, as live music acts and food vendors will slowly set up throughout the day.

The fireworks shows are set to begin at 9:30 p.m. The show by the high school may be more your speed if you don’t want to deal with a big crowd, but the show on the beach is truly a sight to see. This display overlooks the lake, and you’ll be able to see multi-colored fireworks light up the night sky and reflect off of the beautiful waters. If you like the idea of spending the Fourth of July outside, you can pre-purchase a camping pass to spend your holiday by the lake.

From wherever you watch the show, you’ll have a more immersive experience thanks to the accompanying music. The KHYI 95.3 The Range will broadcast live music to go with the show. You’ll be able to hear your favorite hits as you watch elaborate formations of fireworks blast off into the evening sky.

Note that there’ll be plenty of parking available, but you may consider purchasing your parking passes in advance. Pre-paid parking passes let you come and go all day, meaning you can head home and take a quick break before returning to the festivities. If you buy a parking ticket on the day of the event, you’ll have to pay to reenter the park. You’ll also have to park your vehicle in the grass overflow parking lot instead of the designated concrete parking lot, which may not be ideal if you’ve recently purchased a new Chevy from our dealership.

Frisco Freedom Fest

The Frisco Freedom Fest is an exciting festival meant to help residents in Frisco, Lewisville, and the surrounding areas celebrate the Fourth of July. The actual Frisco Freedom Fest begins at 4 p.m. on Monday, July 4th. While the festival will have plenty of live music and entertainment, some of its biggest attractions are its food stands.

Many vendors will be serving foods from various cuisines, so even the pickiest eater in your group is bound to find something they enjoy. Some confirmed food vendors for 2022 include Dippin’ Dots, Cousins Maine Lobster, Pizzeria Testa, Big D Kettle Corn, and Tu Bones BBQ. You’ll have nearly six hours to explore all the festival’s food stands and entertainment before the fireworks show starts at 9:45 p.m. The show will last for 20 minutes, and you can continue to visit the food stands while the show continues.

If you plan on eating a lot and want to burn off some energy first, you can get in some exercise the night before. Frisco Freedom Fest will also put on a 5K event on the evening of July 3rd. Seasoned athletes and casual runners alike can participate in the Hotter ‘n Firecrackers 5K Glow Run. This year, the 5K will have a glow-in-the-dark theme, so you can dress in your brightest neon colors, carry glow sticks, and paint your face with some glow-in-the-dark face paint.

Liberty by the Lake

Liberty by the Lake is a Fourth-of-July-themed event that The Colony Parks and Recreation hosts every year. In 2022, this event is extra special because it will be its 25th anniversary. Unlike the other events, Liberty by the Lake won’t take place on July 4th. This year, it’ll occur on Saturday, July 2nd, so that it’s easier for families with working parents to attend.

The Saturday morning begins with several races that occur at Stewart Creek Park on Sparks Road. You can sign up to participate in the one-mile run or the more challenging 5K or 10K events. If you choose to participate in a run, you can head home afterward, relax, and prepare for the festival’s fun to begin at 6 p.m.

Attendees can check out the Freedom Sponsor Expo and the Liberty Food Court. You’ll have about two hours to check out the expo, as it’ll close at 8 p.m. The food court will stay open a bit longer so that all patrons can remain well-fed.

During the festival, you won’t want to miss one of the main acts, which is the band Le Freak. This group will take the stage at around 7:30 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m., and Le Freak will make their way back to the stage from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. to close out the event.

Independence Fest

Independence Fest will occur right outside of Lewisville in Flower Mound on July 4th. The festival will take place in Bakersfield Park and begin at 5 p.m. While there’ll be other musical acts to enjoy, the headlining group will be the Randy Rogers Band. This group is an ideal pick for the festival, as it’s been known for embodying the Texas country tradition in all its past hits and performances.

Other events to look forward to are a children’s parade, local food vendors, and a vintage car show. The evening will conclude with mesmerizing fireworks. You’re guaranteed to have a great view no matter where your group meets up in the expansive Bakersfield Park.
