Christmas in the Square

Date: Nov. 26, 2021, to Jan. 5, 2022

Frisco Square comes to life for the holiday season with a stunning holiday light show that includes more than 70,000 lights. The twinkling decor is synchronized to holiday music, creating the perfect atmosphere for all your holiday shopping. You can enjoy the lights every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening in December from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Each year, this event draws more than 750,000 visitors. 

In addition to the lights and music, you can also enjoy skating, horse-drawn carriage rides, and visits with Santa. Pick out the perfect tree at the Christmas tree lot and find special presents for everyone as you explore the holiday vendor market. This is an annual must-see for any holiday-lover looking to get into the spirit.

Holiday Minis at Artspace111

Date: Nov. 21, 2021, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Get photos with Santa that easily trump anything you’ve captured in years past with a professional mini session at Artspace111. Book your time slot and get a 15-minute session with Cheyenne Leigh Photography to capture unforgettable photos with Santa.

Your session includes seven digital images and a photo with Mr. Claus himself. You have access to two sculpture gardens and an indoor gallery to capture the perfect moment. Each session is $150. You must book ahead.

Old Town Holiday Stroll

Date: Dec. 4, 2021

The annual Old Town Holiday Stroll in Lewisville is back again for 2021. Though details are yet to be announced, in past years the stroll included a holiday parade, photos with Santa, community performances, themed holiday activities, and the Old Town Christmas Tree Lighting. You may be able to look forward to activities like Christmas crafts, pony rides, and adoptable pets to visit. The event traditionally includes a toy drive as well. Cookies & Castles

Date: Dec. 4, 2021, 10 a.m. to noon

The second annual Frisco Cookies & Castles gingerbread decorating extravaganza is a fun and delicious event that benefits the Scottish Rite for Children and Tri Delta Foundation. Cookies & Castles originated in 2001 in Fort Worth. It expanded to Dallas in 2007 and came to Frisco in 2020. Historically, the event has featured in-person fun with a weekend of sweets and treats. However, this year it will be a drive-thru event that provides plentiful fun to take home.

Participants can stop in at the drive-thru pick up on Dec. 4 to get their gingerbread house kit. This includes the house, icing, and holiday candy. Additional items like T-shirts, aprons, and ornaments are available to purchase as well. You can also buy additional houses to donate to patients at the Fracture Clinic. Participants are encouraged to post photos of their finished creations on social media to spread the holiday spirit.

Holiday Portrait Pawty

Date: Dec. 4, 2021, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Holiday Portrait Pawty transforms The Shops at Park Lane into a pup’s paradise. The centerpiece of the event is a holiday backdrop where you can have your pup’s photo taken by The Nix Company. You can hop in the photo with your pooch or have their photo taken solo. Holiday attire and themed costumes are encouraged. Around the shops, you’ll also find other pet-themed surprises for your dog to enjoy. 

To have your photo taken, you must reserve your time slot in advance. A $5 minimum donation is suggested. Proceeds benefit local dog rescue organizations.

Breakfast with Santa

Date: Dec. 11, 2021, 8 to 9 a.m. and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Come to the Community Activity Center (1200 Gerault Road) in Flower Mound and enjoy a festive morning meal with Santa. You can fuel up on pancakes, write your wish list for Santa, and work on holiday crafts. Don’t forget to bring a camera to capture all the fun. You must register to attend.

Kid’s Christmas Bird Count

Date: Dec. 17, 2021, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The longest-running citizen science project in the world, the Kid’s Christmas Bird Count is part of an ongoing study of bird population trends. This year will mark the 122nd Christmas Bird Count. Children age 5 and up are welcome to join in the fun of bird spotting to help gather valuable data. The bird count takes place at the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area. The cost to attend is $5 per person, in addition to the $5 per vehicle entry fee at the gate.

Gatsby’s House NYE

Date: Dec. 31, 2021, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Ring in the new year in a glamorous way at this 1920s themed New Year’s Eve party at the Omni Frisco Hotel. The doors open at 9 p.m. for hours of fun before the countdown. You’ll enjoy two rooms of music, three areas to mingle, and four DJs. The event also features casino night entertainment with blackjack, craps, and roulette. Complimentary party favors are included for all attendees. 

Upgrade to the VIP ballroom, and you’ll also enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, upgraded party favors, and premium prepaid drinks. 

The elegant Omni Frisco hotel has luxurious accommodations that you can book separately or with a special package to streamline your evening.
