Greater Lewisville Community Theatre (GLCT)

Regardless of the time of the year, the Greater Lewisville Community Theatre is never short of entertainment. Situated at the historic Old Town building on 160 W. Main St., this all-volunteer theater has been home to high-quality musical productions and stage plays since 1983. Since they purchased the space, which was once a dry good store, they are proud to say that they are the first and only cultural arts organization with its own permanent home. They always start off their season with a musical, and the rest of the season offers a mix of straight comedy or drama with some more Tony-winning musicals.

The Actors Conservatory Theatre

Located at 359 Lake Park Road, the Actors Conservatory Theatre is a nonprofit theater dedicated to children. Established in 1999 with an aim of enlightening children about classic literature through plays and music, ACT gives talented kids a platform to learn and showcase their abilities. It also offers summer camps and fall classes in the performing arts. The ACT provides visitors with musical performances and quality family entertainment at different times of the year. 

Ticket prices are as low as $10 for children and those 65 and older, and $15 for adults.

LakeCities Ballet Theater

If you’re looking for a place that can help you improve your dancing skills, LakeCities Ballet Theatre offers the best dance training and performance opportunities. Established in 1984, LakeCities Ballet Theater aims to enhance the cultural life of Lewisville. At the playhouse, you can take in a classical ballet performance. 

World-renowned artists also train and nurture children from different backgrounds. LBT offers pre-performance workshops to children and teens, allowing area youths to learn simple show choreography or take in a lecture or demonstration. They also are part of the school district’s “School Mentoring Program,” where they bring performances from Peter and the Wolf and The Nutcracker to area Title I schools.

Dance Industry Performing Arts Center

Since 2000, the Dance Industry Performing Arts Center over in Plano has trained countless students in dance. The professional staff takes children and young adults through vigorous training, enabling them to become professional dancers. From its humble beginnings, the Dance Industry Performing Arts Center has become an epicenter for producing outstanding music and art students across Lewisville. Whether you want to learn jazz, core, hip hop, ballet, or lyrical dancing, the art center has the best training professionals. 

Training packages start from $60 for 30 minutes and could go as high as $304, depending on session time.

Lewisville Grand Theater

Situated at 100 N. Charles St., the Lewisville Grand Theater boasts a state-of-the-art multipurpose facility run by the City of Lewisville. The theater was established in early 2011 to promote art and music. Within the facility, you’ll find an art gallery and a banquet room for recitals. Art collectors and other enthusiasts can enjoy the rotating exhibits at the art gallery. Visitors and participants can enjoy major events at the 14,000-square-foot courtyard space. If you love films, theatrical productions, concerts, and dance programs, The Grand can provide a great getaway. 

Firehouse Theatre

The Firehouse Theatre is one of the award-winning theaters around Lewisville. This beautiful auditorium is located on Valley View Lane just down in Farmers Branch, where it draws both locals and visitors to this bustling neighborhood. Besides live performances from local and world-renowned artists, it provides artistic expression training to the community. With its constant growth over the years, the Firehouse Theater has attracted audiences from the greater Lewisville area and beyond. At the facility, you’re bound to find regional debuts, summer camps, children’s productions, and special engagement presentations.

Frisco Performing Arts Center

The Frisco Performing Arts Center opened its doors in 2000 in a rented space where it offered music lessons. However, the center developed and built a 7,000-square-foot music building in 2015. With a larger space and a larger audience, it expanded into teaching art, acting, and musical and dance theater. This led to the establishment of the coveted Frisco School of Music & Performing Arts. Apart from art and music classes, the facility now holds more than 200 performances each year. Events taking place at the Arts Center include:
