Introducing the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado, a midsize pickup with full-size power, performance, and appeal. Chevy created a rugged, go-anywhere truck with a refined and sophisticated interior that has all the comfort and convenience you’d expect from a luxury sedan. Plus, it has the latest tech to keep you connected no matter where you end up. If you want a truck that has you covered from the job site to the campsite, you’ll find it in the Colorado.
Seven available exterior paint colors like Crush, Sand Dun Metallic, and Cherry Red are guaranteed to turn heads up and down the boulevard. The Colorado comes in four trims and is available in regular, extended, and crew cab sizes with either a short or long box.
Colorado WT Trim
The WT trim is great when your office is a construction site. Dual rear seats can carry coworkers or they can fold flat to store your gear. It rolls on 17-inch silver steel wheels with all-season blackwall tires and features black beltline molding, mirror caps, and door handles. Bed lights mounted on the cab are switch operated from inside the cabin. The chrome rear bumper has an integrated corner step for getting in and out of your bed. Halogen headlights let you see, while daytime running lights let you be seen.
The LT trim adds body-color mirror caps, rear bumper, and door handles. It features the EZ lift and lower tailgate with remote lock/unlock, a spotter mirror, and 17-inch blade silver metallic cast-aluminum wheels.
Chevy’s Z71 trim upgrades its wheels to 17-inch bright machined aluminum with all-terrain tires. Outside mirrors are heated, and a manual sliding rear window is standard. Headlights are upgraded to projector beam. A Z71 Midnight Special Edition trim adds signature style with 17-inch black-painted wheels with 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac all-terrain tires. The Z71 Midnight gets a durable spray-on bed liner and black bow-tie emblems.
The ZR2 trim uses 17-inch Graphite and Oxide Gold aluminum wheels with aggressive Duratrac all-terrain tires. A Midnight Special Edition trim comes with a black exterior, 17-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, and an off-road sports bar and off-road lights. A ZR2 Dusk Special Edition pairs the blackout features found on the Midnight version with a contrasting alternative exterior color.
You can opt for the ZR2 Off-Road Package that gives the truck a taller, wider stance. The package includes suspension dampers and an off-road front fascia, rear bumper, and fender flares. A black Chevrolet logo in all caps adorns the front grille.
The ZR2 Bison Special Edition was designed to conquer the harshest trails. It features five hot-stamped boron steel skid plates, front winch provisions, and a rear recovery system. Chevy collaborated with American Expedition Vehicles to create a line of Bison-specific off-road accessories like a high-mounted air intake snorkel.
Colorado Custom Trim
A Colorado Custom Special Edition has all the premium design elements and amenities to make it stand out on the street. Stylish 18-inch dark argent metallic painted cast-aluminum wheels turn heads as you cruise the boulevard.
The performance-inspired Redline Special Edition features red tipping tape on the side view mirrors, red tow hooks, and 18-inch wheels with red accents. Black bowtie emblems and off-road assist steps add style and practical convenience.
Three powerful engines are available for the Colorado, so you can pick the powertrain that meets your needs. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is perfect for light-duty work. It puts out 200 horsepower, 191 pound-feet of torque, and can tow up to 3,500 pounds.
An available 3.6-liter V-6 engine with dual overhead cams is well-suited for a heavy workload or an off-road excursion. This powertrain puts out 308 horsepower, 275 pound-feet of torque, and has a 7,000-pound towing capacity.
You can opt for the 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine for the perfect blend of power and efficiency. Towing is a breeze with 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque ready to pull. It can tow up to 7,700 pounds.
All your tech routes through the touch screen in the center stack. You can take your favorite personal assistant Alexa along for the ride now. Ask Alexa to activate your outside lights, start the coffee machine, and more from the comfort of your truck. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability allow you to sync your smart devices. Now you can send and receive calls, access your favorite apps, and get navigation information, hands-free.
Your Colorado turns into a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot. It can support multiple devices and offers a working range of up to 50 feet from your vehicle. Your infotainment center comes with Marketplace pre-installed. This is a first-of-its-kind app that lets you do business with your favorite businesses no matter where you are. You can order takeout, activate the fuel pump, and make reservations for dinner.
Equip your Colorado with the latest driver-assist systems to elevate your driving experience and help keep you safer. A rearview camera is standard, giving you eyes behind while in reverse. It sends a live video stream to your infotainment screen complete with guidelines to help guide you. While in reverse a rear park assist system adds audible beeps that increase the closer you get to objects.
The forward collision alert system uses forward mounted sensors to monitor the road ahead. It sends visual and audio alerts when it detects a possible collision, helping you to react. It also features a tailgate alert that notifies you when you are following a vehicle too closely. A lane departure warning system uses sensors to track your Colorado while traveling within marked lanes. When it detects an unintentional drift, it alerts you so you can take corrective action.
